Coach's Comments

Congrats again to both teams for outstanding performances in the Vegas Cup! Heat Blue lost the finals to Utah Rangers on a very controversial and very bad call (once again) that negated our game tying goal late in the second half. Heat White won their final against the Earthquakes 5-1. In any case, the kids played well all weekend.

A few things:

1) Goalie position – Both teams are in need of more permanent goalies. If you know of any good athletes born between August 2001 and July 2002 with an interest in playing goalie, please let me know. If your child wants to play more goalie (half the game on a regular basis), please let me know this also. Heat has an excellent goalie training program.

2) Regular season – Mary will be signing the kids up for the spring season next week. The season runs from March to May and we will try to play a few tourneys in this timeframe. In league play, Heat White will play U8 Gold and Heat Blue will play U8 gold or U9 gold. We will start practice in mid to late February.

3) Indoor- I have requested that both teams play stronger competition in indoor so the schedules below have some games against U9 competitive teams. See schedules below and please let me know if you cannot make it this weekend. Chelsea plays at 8:55 am and Man U plays at 9:45. I will not be able to make it so Coach Hiram and Peter and Max will be in charge.
